Hello, my name is Bruno Masot and I am the owner/operator of SCISSOREDGE, operating out of Brisbane Queensland.
SCISSOREDGE is a business that sharpens hairdressing scissors using a purpose built sharpening machine developed in Australia and made in Japan. I have been trained to use the scissor sharpener and have refined my skills and techniques over the last 6 years that I have owned the business.
I pride myself in doing the best sharpening job for my clients at the least possible price as a professional sharpener. If you find there is a problem with the sharpening, I will be happy to return and review and or rectify the issue. I know there are many “scissor sharpeners” out there that charge less than I do.
These sharpening services generally use a machine designed to sharpen dressmaking scissors. These types of machines will not give the particular type of edge which is specific to hairdressing scissors.
Besides the scissor sharpening service, I provide clipper and trimmer repair and service. This includes blades, batteries, motors and leads for these appliances.
I sell hairdressing scissors and other hair dressing supplies. Brands of scissors that I stock are Sharpline, Kasho, Wasabi, Jaguar, WAHL, DH, Silk to name a few. Scissor prices that I carry can range from as low as $50 for Barbers or 1st and 2nd Year Apprentices, and up to $2,000 for the more senior stylist. Price depends on the brand and quality you want.
I also stock WAHL clippers, trimmers and dryers. Other items include Denman brushes and Jaguar combs.
Besides the hairdressing scissor sharpening and sales side of my business, SCISSOREDGE. I provide knife sharpening and sales. The knife sharpener is a completely separate machine that I use solely for this purpose. I use a German made machine that cost $2,500 to buy. I believe I can offer an excellent knife sharpening service as I have been sharpening knives for over 30 years. I have previously worked in the meat industry and having a sharp knife at all times to do my job was essential.
I offer for sale Victory, Victorinox, F Dick and Dexter Russell knives. I also stock a range of quality F Dick sharpening steels, stones etc.
Chef’s knives and other speciality knives can be ordered as required.
